The Satiny Silk is a war dance originating in The Inky Growths. The form guides dancers during improvised performances. The dance is accompanied by The Song of Music. The dancers perform in several lines, moving slower and slower to the music's mafina rhythm. The entire dance has a basic movement called the licesi. There is a series of five sprightly steps in a triangle pattern with sharp-edged independent body movement and a serene arm carriage. The dance is punctuated by strong raised arms and powerful leg lifts.
