The Lark of Dances
The Lark of Dances is a group performance dance originating in The Persuasive Berry. The form guides dancers during improvised performances. The dance is accompanied by any composition of The Cerulean Verse. The dancers perform in a double circle. This dance is a refined artform, with one special position to be mastered. The sprightly dance is punctuated by independent body movement and sluggish rightward bends, with large moves.
- The dance begins with the verse of the music. The dancers perform slower and slower with the music. This section is punctuated by sensual clockwise quarter turns and weightless spins.
- The dance enters a new section with the chorus of the music. The dancers perform quickly to the ile rhythm. There is a basic movement called the bulifo. There is a series of five relaxed steps in a triangle pattern with a low arm carriage, a fluid hand gesture and a sensual facial expression.
- The mathuva the fundamental dance position. There should be a sensual arm carriage with a leftward bend, a calm facial expression and a strong right leg lift shadowed by group members.
