The Lace of Berries
The Lace of Berries is a sacred solo dance originating in The Passionate Scourge. The form guides dancers during improvised performances. The dance is accompanied by any composition of The Saffron Song as the dancer acts out The Page of Sisters. This dance is a refined artform, with four special positions to be mastered. The expressive dance is punctuated by body level changes, undulating hand gestures and joyous curved walks.
- The ostad is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a leg lift with an aborted backward bend, a high raised right arm and a powerful hand gesture.
- The zuspo is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a proud hand gesture with an elaborate arm carriage and a low body level.
- The moslo is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a lively left leg lift with a joyous facial expression.
- The ogom is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a low body level.
