The Lute of Brides

The Lute of Brides is a group performance dance originally devised by the goblin Damsto Stolenreins. The rules of the form are applied by choreographers to produce individual dances which can be performed. The dance is accompanied by The Glimmer of Poetry. The dancers perform in a circle, moving slowly with the music. The strong intense dance is punctuated by straight walks and sharp-edged hand gestures, with movement performed in succession by group members.

• The dance begins with the introduction of the music. This graceful refined section is punctuated by leftward bends and sensual kicks.
• The dance enters a new section with the passages of the music. The dancers perform to the upe rhythm. There is a basic movement called the cebela. There is a series of six sprightly steps in a figure-eight pattern with a low rightward bend. This section is punctuated by low arm carriage.
