The Zephyr of Songs
The Zephyr of Songs is a solo performance dance which grew out of the performances of The Poetic Shanks. The form guides dancers during improvised performances. The dance is accompanied by The Adorable Gloss as the dancer acts out The Reason of Glitter. This dance is a refined artform, with ten specific moves to be mastered. The dance is punctuated by grotesque independent body movement.
- The dance begins with the chorus of the music. The dancer performs slowly with the music. This refined vigorous section is punctuated by aggressive runs.
- The dance enters a new section with the verse of the music. The dancer performs very slowly with the music. This section is aggressive.
- The cebela is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a delicate curved walk with a partially realized hand gesture.
- The adi is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a passionate spin with sensual independent body movement.
- The aro is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is an undulating raised left arm.
- The ifife is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a soft right kick with twisting independent body movement.
- The eyo is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a lively forward bend with an aggressive left kick, a debauched clockwise eighth turn and sensual independent body movement.
- The datha is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a debauched leftward bend.
- The warere is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is an elaborate raised right arm with a left kick, a vigorous spin and a high leap.
- The fathinu is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a straight-lined body level change.
- The thili is one of the fundamental dance moves. There is a vigorous leap with an aggressive clockwise eighth turn and a vivacious raised left arm.
- The fomire is one of the fundamental dance moves. First, there is a delicate right kick. Then there is a clockwise eighth half turn with vigorous footwork, a partially realized hand gesture and independent body movement.
