The Fragrances of Silkiness
The Fragrances of Silkiness is a social group dance originating in The Mahogany Mine. The form guides dancers during improvised performances. The dance is accompanied by any composition of The Rhythmic Sweetnesses. The dancers perform in a double circle. This dance is a refined artform, with four special positions and three specific moves to be mastered. The sensual spirited dance is punctuated by kicks.
- The dance begins with the passage of the music. The dancers perform to the lisig rhythm. This aggressive proud section is punctuated by leaps.
- The dance enters a new section with the next passage of the music. The dancers perform faster and faster with the music. This refined section is punctuated by passionate facial expressions, forward bends shadowed by group members and left leg lifts, with large moves.
- The nashon is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a backward bend with a passionate raised left arm and a vivacious hand gesture.
- The atrid is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a strong backward bend with a proud hand gesture and a raised arm.
