The Tenebrous Petal
The Tenebrous Petal is a group performance dance originating in The Responsible Empires. The rules of the form are applied by choreographers to produce individual dances which can be performed. The dance is accompanied by The Pantomime of Larks as the dancers act out any composition of The Tress of Paper. The dancers perform in a circle along an intricate path, moving very quickly with the music. This dance is a refined artform, with three special positions to be mastered. The dance is punctuated by kicks, with aborted moves.
- The dance begins with the introduction of the music. The dancers perform to the oth rhythm. This section is punctuated by jerking raised right arms and softly percussive leaps.
- The dance enters a new section with the passage of the music. This section is punctuated by right leg lifts.
- The dance enters a new section with the finale of the music. The dancers perform to the itlud rhythm. This jerking debauched section is punctuated by leftward bends.
- The stral is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a leftward bend with a debauched hand gesture and a high body level.
- The leto is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a raised right arm with a high body level, a rightward bend and a right leg lift.
- The renal is one of the fundamental dance positions. There should be a right leg lift with a low body level and a sensual arm carriage.
