The Goldenrod Intricacy

The Goldenrod Intricacy is a form of music used for entertainment originally devised by the elf Cacame Valleygold. The rules of the form are applied by composers to produce individual pieces of music which can be performed. The music is played on one to four efiva. The melody has short phrases throughout the form. Chords, seldom-used, are sparse -- intervals and single pitches are favored. It is performed without preference for a scale and in free rhythm. Throughout, when possible, composers and performers are to alternate tension and repose.

• Each efiva always does the main melody, should feel mournful and locally improvises.
• The Goldenrod Intricacy has the following structure: a passage and an additional passage possibly all repeated.
• The first simple passage is extremely fast, and it is to start loud then be immediately soft.
• The second simple passage gradually slows as it comes to an end, and it is to become softer and softer.
