The Wispy Sister

The Wispy Sister is a devotional form of music originally devised by the elf Camela Glowingskies. The rules of the form are applied by composers to produce individual pieces of music which can be performed. A chanter recites nonsensical words and sounds while the music is played on a corowa. The musical voices bring melody with harmony. The entire performance is to be loud. The melody has mid-length phrases throughout the form. Only one pitch is ever played at a time. It is performed without preference for a scale and in free rhythm.

• The chanter always does harmony and should feel heroic. The voice stays in the middle register.
• The corowa always does the main melody and should be delicate. The voice uses its entire range from the raspy low register to the rippling high register.
• The Wispy Sister has a simple structure: a lengthy passage.
• The simple passage is consistently slowing.
