The Silks of Venerating
The Silks of Venerating is a form of music used to commemorate important events originally devised by the elf Alino Workraptor. The form guides musicians during improvised performances. A speaker recites nonsensical words and sounds while the music is played on a zecalo. The musical voices are joined in melody. The entire performance should be made with feeling and is at a hurried pace, and it is to become softer and softer. The melody has short phrases throughout the form. It is performed without preference for a scale and in free rhythm. Throughout, when possible, performers are to play rapid runs and alternate tension and repose.
