The Page of Sisters

The Page of Sisters is a solemn poetic form, originating in The Passionate Scourge. The form guides poets during improvised performances. The poem is divided into three distinct parts: a line, two tercets and another line. Use of ambiguity and simile is characteristic of the form. A form of parallelism is common throughout the poem, in that certain lines use the same placement of allusions. Each line has eight feet with a syllable weight pattern of short-long (quantitative iambic octameter).
