The Ashen Tomb is a dramatic poetic form intended to satirize death, originating in The Pink Seduction. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is four sixteen-line stanzas. Each line has sixteen syllables. The fifteenth line of each stanza presents a different view of the subject of the sixth line. The rhyme scheme of the poem is ABACAAABBBABCBAA.
