The Mirthful Tulip

The Mirthful Tulip is a solemn poetic form which grew out of the performances of The Blockades of Rasping. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is divided into three distinct parts: a line, another line and a quatrain. Each line has twelve syllables.

• The first part is intended to describe the past.
• The second part is intended to develop the previous idea concerning current events.
• The third part is intended to offer a different perspective concerning the future. The ending of each line of this part shares the same rhyme.
