The Hardy Controllers

The Hardy Controllers is a ribald poetic form concerning war originally devised by the elf Saba Scaledtwilights. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is divided into three distinct parts: an octet, a couplet and a quintain. Use of ambiguity and juxtaposition is characteristic of the form. A form of parallelism is common throughout the poem, in that certain lines have similar grammatical structures. Each line has three syllables.

• The first part is intended to make an assertion. Certain lines often share an underlying meaning.
• The second part is intended to make a counter-assertion. Certain lines often share an underlying meaning.
• The third part is intended to synthesize previous ideas. Certain lines often share an underlying meaning.

• In early winter of 173, The Hardy Controllers was created by the elf Saba Scaledtwilights in Marketblossoms after a nightmare
