The Morning of Whiskers

The Morning of Whiskers is a reflective poetic form intended to praise Sethe the Windy which grew out of the performances of The Heroic Waxes. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is five tercets. Use of vivid imagery is characteristic of the form. A form of parallelism is common throughout the poem, in that certain lines reverse grammatical structures. Each line has five syllables. The second line of each tercet shares the underlying meaning of the first line.
