The Splash of Beaches is a poetic riddle intended to express pleasure with rivers originally devised by the elf Afe Flankedwhisker. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is numerous series of ten-line stanzas. The Splash of Beaches is always written from the perspective of a historical figure. Use of assonance is characteristic of the form. Each line has nine syllables.
