The Confident Champion of Dominating is a ribald poetic form concerning immortality originally devised by the elf Pili Smoothnessjump. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is divided into a series of octets and a series of quatrains. The Confident Champion of Dominating is always written from the perspective of a relative of the author. Use of internal rhyme and assonance is characteristic of the form. Forms of parallelism are common throughout the poem, in that certain lines use the same placement of allusions and they sometimes have reversed word orders.
