The Valley of Swamps is a light poetic form intended to describe Aditha Hailedbeaches the Glacial which grew out of the performances of The Veneration of Clouds. The form guides poets during improvised performances. The poem is nine octets. The Valley of Swamps is always written from the perspective of the author. A form of parallelism is common throughout the poem, in that certain lines sometimes have reversed word orders. Each line has fourteen syllables. The eighth line of each octet presents a different view of the subject of the third line.
