The Lacy Library

The Lacy Library is a dramatic poetic form intended to praise a chosen subject, originating in The Wayward Confederacy. The rules of the form are applied by poets to produce individual poems which can be recited. The poem is divided into three distinct parts: three brief verse paragraphs, a couplet and two tercets. Use of internal rhyme is characteristic of the form. A form of parallelism is common throughout the poem, in that certain lines are required to maintain phrasing.
